AGI Partners LLC Welcomes David Acharya

NEW YORK, December 2011 – AGI Partners LLC (AGI), an alternative investment management firm, today announced that David Acharya has joined the firm as Partner.

Prior to joining AGI, Mr. Acharya was a Director at MTN Capital Partners where among other accomplishments; he sourced and executed Revolution Dancewear.  Before joining MTN Capital Partners, Mr. Acharya was a member of the Apprise Media investment team where he focused on investments in niche media and information companies including Canon Communications which was successfully sold to United Business Media. Previously, he was an investment banker for 10 years with the highly ranked leveraged finance groups of JP Morgan and TD Securities where he where he advised, structured and raised over $18 billion of capital for leading financial sponsors, media, telecom, consumer product and other various companies across the globe.  In addition, he was involved in numerous private equity investments as part of Toronto Dominion’s merchant banking investments.

Mr. Acharya holds a BS and MBA degrees from St. John’s University.
